Item Information

Parker can offer a variety of electric motor driven pumps (EMP) for aerospace applications. Parker’s ability to design and manufacture all major elements of our EMPs including, pump, motor, motor controller, and associated software, leads to a highly integrated and efficient EMP solution.

Parker provides AC motor driven pumps (ACMPs) and DC motor driven pumps (DCMPs) for main hydraulic power, supplemental power, or emergency backup power.

EMPs use electric input from either aircraft generators or batteries. Parker motors can be designed to operate with a variety of electric-power inputs including; fixed-frequency AC, variable-frequency AC, 28VDC, 270VDC, and others. Parker motor controllers and associated software can be tailored for specific motor types and support unique power-management requirements.

The motors are directly coupled to drive an axial-piston hydraulic pump. These pumps are pressure compensated and can be tuned to provide constant pressure up to rated flow or constant horsepower by lowering pressure as flow demand increases, depending on the hydraulic system demands and electrical system’s power constraints.

Bi-directional DCMPs can be installed in point-of-use hydraulic systems or regional power packs to minimize system size and complexity in more-electric aircraft.

APPLICATIONS:
• Parker ACMPs can be found in a variety of aircraft including the ERJ-170/190, CRJ-700/900, ARJ-21, MRJ, A400M, C Series, A320/A330/A340/A350, and 737/747/757/767/777
• Parker brushed DCMPs are in use on the Q-400 Dash 8, Sovereign, and Falcon 7X/8X
• Parker brushless DCMPs are in use on the Legacy 450/500 and Challenger 300/350 aircraft
• Parker bi-directional DCMPs are in use on the F-35 and G-650 aircraft
