Guiding Elements and Guiding Tapes

Guiding Elements and Guiding Tapes

Guiding elements provide the bearing function between the metallic components of the cylinder during the stroke movement and in static conditions. They prevent metallic contact between pistons and cylinders or rods and glands where forces act perpendicular to the direction of movement. The guide ring design shows a circular, but open preform and therefore lends itself to easy assembly. The guiding tape design is endless and can be cut to any desired length. The tape is wound as a flat coil or spiral preform.
