Item Information

Parker PGI’s Thermoelectric TEC Series Battery Charger uses proven thermo-electric technology to convert natural gas or propane to electric power.  The TEC battery charger supplies 12 and 24-volt batteries with up to 7.3 watts of continuous power, regardless of available sunlight or other ambient conditions.  The TEC is an ideal power source for electronic instruments, transmitters, flow computers, and communication systems on gas pipelines.

A thermoelectric charger is less expensive than electrical hook-ups or solar panel systems, and TEC excels in cold, snowy or rainy conditions.  The compact and reliable TEC ensures that the battery is continuously charged and is also environmentally friendly, using low-emission catalytic technology to heat the thermoelectric modules.
