Extruded solid O profile seals have a high closure force. The solid round cross section can be deflected more easily under a given load versus square or rectangular cross section seals.
Also known, as O-rings, the solid O profile series are precision extruded and spliced, offering an ideal sealing solutions for applications needing large diameter O-rings and non-standard sizes.
The solid O profile is available in cord stock, spooled footage, spliced solid O-ring and spliced solid O gasket. Solid round cross section seals can be deflected more easily under a given load versus square or rectangular cross section seals.
Extruded and spliced O-rings are an economical alternative to molded products, specifically when extremely large seals are required as they may be too costly when molded. Extruded seal dimensions can also be easily customized without tooling costs, giving engineers more design flexibility.
Material Availability: Solid O products are available in a broad range of materials (silicone, nitrile, EPDM / EPR, HNBR, fluorosilicone, FKM and FFKM). Specialty approved materials include UL 94 V-0, UL 157, UL 497, NSF Standard 61, USP Class VI, FDA White List, and a variety of ASTM, MIL, and SAE certified materials.
