Item Information

Parflex® Electric Power Connection Kits are intended for SL and SH series self-regulating Temptrace™ bundles. They are Factory Mutual (FM) approved kits that provide all of the necessary hardware and materials to make an easily installed combination power connection and waterproof seal for single and double tube bundles. It is important to take caution and ensure that the temperature rating of the power feed wire insulation is adequate for the heater used since the heater will come in contact with the power feed wires in the junction box. If further information is required, refer to the Product Support tab for installation instructions, CAT. 4200 and the Multitube® Products Bulletin.

CAUTION: The heater will come in contact with the power feed wires in the junction box. Make sure that the temperature rating of the power feed wire insulation is adequate for the heater used.
Ground Fault Equipment Protection Devices (GFEPDs): The IEEE standard (515-1989) for heating cables requires the use of GFEPDs with a nominal 30 milliampere trip level for “piping systems in classified areas, those areas requiring a high degree of maintenance, or which may be exposed to physical abuse or corrosive atmospheres.
