The aft fairing hydraulic module is a pre-integrated, complete, hydraulic system allowing reduced aircraft production flow time. The complex subsystem provides both structural and systems support.
Parker Aerospace offers a variety of electric motors, hydraulic pumps, reservoirs, accumulators, filter modules, valves, and hydraulic conveyance products to the aerospace market. Our ability also extends to complete systems integration allowing aircraft manufacturers to focus on aircraft assembly, test, and delivery rather than management of a complex set of supplier and partner relationships.
Parker is experienced at offering pre-integrated, complete, hydraulic systems allowing reduced aircraft production flow times. These complex subsystems meet aircraft design standards, conformity, qualification and functional testing requirements. The modules are delivered directly to the aircraft production line and combine components from multiple supply sources:
• Structural frame assemblies
• Utility hydraulic products (reservoir, accumulator, filters, valves, pressure and temperature transducers)
• Hydraulic fluid conveyance (tubes, hoses, fittings, quick disconnects)
• Electrical wiring and connectors
• Mounting equipment and hardware
• Electric motor pumps
Prior to shipment, the modules complete component functional checks, leak tests, hydraulic/electrical/structural spatial clearance verification, and electrical bonding/grounding conductivity requirements. The installation of all hardware, including all the functional checks, are performed by Parker Aerospace instead of by the aircraft manufacturer.
Additionally, the modules arrive to the production line ready to install on the aircraft complete with mounting hardware; installation consists of simply pinning the module to the aircraft structure, attaching electrical connectors, and joining any hydraulic hoses/tubes.
APPLICATIONS:
Examples of Parker Aerospace systems integration can be found on the Boeing 787 (aft fairing hydraulic module) and power-packs on various military programs. In addition, Parker provides integrated ground service panels (GSPs) to facilitate plug-and-play installation on the A350 aircraft.
FEATURES AND ATTRIBUTES:
• Reduced supplier/partner management
• Increased aircraft production-line flow time
• Reduced complexity with component logistics
OPTIONAL FEATURES:
• Frame structure can be metallic (machined or casting), or composite
• Can accommodate left- and right-side installations via a mirrored or identical design approach
• System level structure-borne, fluid-borne, and airborne noise analysis
