The Sporlan Type Y1037 temperature responsive expansion valves (TREV) have a brass bar stock body, ODF connections, and inlet strainer. Internal parts and element are not to be removed. Each valve is factory tested to ensure positive leak-free performance.
This valve prevents excessive discharge temperatures from occurring on refrigeration systems by modulating refrigerant flow in response to bulb temperature. The TREV injects liquid refrigerant ahead of the compressor in the suction line.
The Y1037 can be used in other refrigerant applications; however care must be taken to ensure tha tth evalve’s maximum operating pressure of 500 psig is not exceeded.
Valve setting is the temperature at which the valve opens. Rated capacity occurs at 10°F above the bulb temperature at which the valve opens.
